One Thing Certain:

the earth will continue to orbit-- until it, too, passes.

With or without the human species.

Not Religion... just basic Truth.

All Things Pass.

Basic, basic...

Just because CiviliZation is guaranteed to pass...

Need we fear?

Need we believe our own existence is threatened by the passing away of civilization...?

Need we feel attached, fearful, convinced we'll go down if the ship does?

No.


If Humanity in fact (for that matter, if any other circumstance) destroys, poisons, or otherwise compromises the ecological systems that make earth-life possible for humans...

Then we shall pass, sooner rather than later.

but if what we know and celebrate as the Grand Accomplishment of CiviliZation--

collapses...

we needn't necessarily wallow in doomed despair...

If a self-destructive system in fact destroys itself-- (likely...), it doesn't necessarily mean the end of humans
themselves...

There'll be struggles, violence, loss...

There already is.

But those who survive the Collapse needn't, necessarily, mourn homo civiliZaticus...

We Could move on.

How?

-Where the pollution, radiation is least permanently harmful...

-By growing, weaving, sewing our own...

-By Paying Closer Attention to Ecology-- the laws of the planet, of Life-- rather than self-absorbed/ destructive focus on

Economy.

It's the Ecology, silly.

By re-establishing small, local, self-sufficient communities-- villages-- focused on enriching, nurturing the land, the soil... using local "resources," renewable resources, less utilities and infotainment and jet-setting and corporate-produced "necessities"...

ReThink what is Necessary, what's Most Important.

Becoming more and more local, less and less fossil-fuel, long-distance-transportation oriented...

There is no obstacle to this being done.

This is being done, still, all over this planet, by humans.

We might call them... the Meek.

...as oposed to CiviliZation-Worshippers (WarShippers)-- Addicts--

the Arrogant.

At its Foundation, that's all

CiviliZation is,

Arrogance.

Self-AggrandiZement...

The Experiment is nearing

What ethics?

Who benefits, is rewarded?

Why?

Do I?

Should I?

More, Less, or Equally?

How could all benefit equally?

Ought all?

Who/ what constitutes "all"?

All people?

All people of my nation?

My eye color?

All left-handed people?

All creatures?

All ecosystems?

All species?

The entire planet?

How COULD all benefit equally?

Ought all?

All, equally?

Does a species have an equal right not to be driven to extinction?
Equal to what?

To you?

To I?

To humans?

To humanity?

To hierarchy?

Is hierarchy More Important than species, ecosystems...?

Hierarchy is destroying, decimating completely, globally, thousands of species...

This is criminal.

We-- you and I-- are not in the position to judge the perpetrators of these crimes.

It is us-- you and I.

We must look at Our Own Behavior, Priorities, Desires, Actions on a day-to-day level...

We Must Examine our Consciousness...

Examine Our Behavior, Our Actions.

Yours.

Mine.

That's what each of us have to be responsible for.

I'd argue that this is at the heart of all Jesus had to say, to offer humans...

and Buddha...

Mohammed...

and Gandhi...

and... Us?

At the heart is Humility.

It's why we bow.

It's why we Ought to bow.

Humility.

We are a direct part of It... We are Each connected Directly to It...

We are It.

We are the ones we are waiting for...

We are the ones We have always been "waiting" for.

Each of us.

You.

Humility.

"The Kingdom of God is Within YOU."

There's the Message.

You're the Messenger.

We, Each of us, is.

All species...

The ungraspable planet itself.

Humility.

The Message.

He washed their feet.

That's The Message.

Humility.

It's to be Lived, not simply Believed.

At the end of Denial is Humility...

The path of Humility leads toward all things Sacred.

Humility.

Simplicity.

Service.

Love.

All else is Fear, leads into Death.

That's all Hades is.

The Kingdom of God is Within You.
